If you take certain medicines on a regular basis, your doctor may authorise you to obtain repeat prescriptions from the surgery. Your prescriptions will come with a counterfoil, the "prescription request form" which lists the names and doses of your medicines. Please tick off those medicines which you require and place the form in the box in the waiting room before 3.30pm. Your prescription will then be ready for you after two working days (48 hours) or 3 working days (72 hours) if there are any queries or amendments that require attention.
We regret that requests made later than 3.30pm cannot be attended to until the following working day.
If you post the repeat prescription form with a stamped addressed envelope, the prescription will be posted back to you. Repeat prescriptions will generally be provided for up to six months before you are asked to see your doctor or a practice nurse to re-authorise further supplies. Please make an appointment in good time so that you can be reviewed by your usual doctor.
**To avoid dangerous errors, we regret that we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone **
How to order your repeat prescription:
- Tick the items required, post in the box in reception (letter boxes are available both sides of the building if the surgery is closed)
- Register for Patient Access - request via the app or on their website.
- E-mail your request to SSCCG.N84025@nhs.net.
- Download the "NHS APP" available for "IOS" and "Android" devices.
Please note that although we were accepting requests for prescriptions over the telephone, we are now asking that all patients revert to the system where requests were either e-mailed to us, made via the Patient Access or NHS App or a written request is passed to the surgery (currently via the letterbox at the door). All housebound patients are still able to request their prescriptions via the telephone.
Many thanks for your continued support
